Manage your symptoms holistically with 1:1 support

Our Approach

Functional nutrition with as much emphasis on your nervous system as the rest of you

We take a holistic view of health that recognizes our that our physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing is all interconnected, as well as deeply affected by the power structures and systems that we exist within.

We strive to create an inclusive, trauma-aware, client-centered practice with anti-oppressive values, and are committed to showing up for our clients and community to the best of our ability.

Our unique, all-inclusive model of care encompasses not just nutrition, but also nervous system and bioenergetic support as well. We work with clients from anywhere in the United States entirely virtually (over video chat or by phone).

Our Services

We help our clients use nutrition and lifestyle interventions to improve their health, reconnect with their body, learn how to better nourish themselves, or manage chronic conditions.

We have a virtual practice (meaning we meet with clients over video chat or by phone), and we welcome clients from anywhere in the United States, across the gender spectrum — we’re an LGBTQIA+-inclusive practice and are committed a philosophy of holistic wellness that includes community care and collective liberation.

We have a unique, all-inclusive approach to 1:1 care that combines three of the most clinically useful modalities we know of:

  • personalized nutrition support

  • nervous system support (via Safe & Safe Protocol)

  • custom bioenergetic support

This combination approach is how we help our clients holistically and comprehensively address the underlying root causes behind their health concerns.

Our services are always personalized to each client and paced according to your goals and needs. It’s important to note that the type of work we do is a dynamic process that unfolds over time; we tend to work with clients for at least 6-9 months, often longer for more complex cases.

If you’re interested in becoming a client, keep reading for more info about what’s included or apply here!

What’s Included

We provide personalized, ongoing support through our all-inclusive 1:1 Monthly Membership, which includes nutrition, nervous system, and bioenergetic support:

1. Nutrition support

This is the core of our work together. We’re here to help assess your diet, nutrient status, gut health, inflammation, and more. We love helping people transition to a more anti-inflammatory, nutrient-dense way of eating! If appropriate, we’ll also offer advice on supplements as well as lab testing. We’ll explain the “why” behind all of our recommendations, and together we’ll build out a personalized plan based on your needs and capacity.

Includes one 90-minute initial intake session the first month, followed by one 60-minute nutrition session per month thereafter. Messaging between sessions is included. You also get free access to Robin’s online program.

2. Nervous system support

We offer Safe & Sound Protocol, a gentle sound-based modality that helps ground and calm the nervous system. Safe & Sound Protocol uses specially altered music to send cues of safety to your nervous system, helping you build a foundation for greater awareness, embodiment, and resilience. We find incorporating Safe & Sound Protocol is a valuable adjunct that helps our clients make the most out of our nutrition work together.

Includes 30-60 minutes’ worth of SSP/RRP guided sessions per month with our SSP/RRP-certified practitioner, Sandy Jones. Guided SSP/RRP sessions are typically utilized for 2-4 months.

3. Bioenergetic support

We also offer support at the energetic level to help increase the body’s own innate capacity for healing. When appropriate, we customize bioenergetic support for clients using a combination of bioresonance technology, complex homeopathy, and/or classical homeopathy. We find these gentle supports are a valuable addition to the other work we do with clients, especially our sensitive clients and those dealing with chronic or complex health concerns.

Includes unlimited bioresonance testing and custom protocols as needed, typically every 8-12 weeks. At our discretion, we also offer classical homeopathy recommendations via our practitioner Sandy Jones, who’s a certified classical homeopath in addition to being a functional nutritionist and SSP/RRP-certified practitioner.

lab testing and supplements are available a la carte.

Getting started

1. Apply to work together here.

We ask for a little info up front in order to make sure your needs are a potential fit for our services.

2. Schedule your free intro call.

Once we receive your application form, you’ll have the opportunity for a free intro call with us so we can answer any questions and chat about how we would approach your case.

3. Book your intake session and receive ongoing support

If you decide to move forward with working with us, we’ll dive right in! You’ll meet with us for a 90-minute comprehensive intake session and then 60-minute monthly follow-up sessions via our 1:1 Monthly Membership

How it works

Your First Appointment

You’ll have a comprehensive 90-minute initial intake session with your practitioner.

Prior to your appointment, you’ll complete some questionnaires and a food journal so that we can get familiar with your goals and the nuances of your health history.

During your appointment, you’ll have plenty of time to share your health concerns and your story without feeling rushed.

Your practitioner will share their perspective on your case, start to make a plan of action with you, and discuss a realistic timeframe for working together.

After your initial intake session, you’ll be enrolled in our 1:1 Monthly Membership for ongoing support and monthly follow-up sessions, and you’ll be able to access the additional services we offer for nervous system and bioenergetic support at no extra cost.

Monthly Follow-up Sessions

After your intake, you’ll meet with your practitioner monthly for 60-minute follow-up sessions.

In our practice, we only offer ongoing support through our all-inclusive 1:1 Monthly Membership. We’ve found this container helps us get the best results with clients.

You’ll meet with your practitioner for nutrition sessions each month, where we’ll update your plan to make sure things are moving in the right direction. You’ll also have access to guided sessions for individualized nervous system support via guided Safe & Sound Protocol sessions.

Additionally, Robin’s online group coaching program is included with your 1:1 membership, as well as access to discounted specialty supplements and functional lab testing at cost.

We typically work with clients for at least 6-9 months, but you’re not locked into any specific timeframe — you may cancel your membership any time.

What to expect as a client

What you WON’T find here:

  • Manipulation tactics that attempt to motivate change through shame, guilt, or judgment (because when did those ever work??)

  • Any insinuation that your health conditions are your fault (they’re absolutely not!)

  • Unrealistic expectations or pressure to get things perfect (most of us are already putting WAY too much pressure on ourselves)

  • A narrow, rigid, or cookie-cutter approach to health (this is not conducive to wellbeing, hard stop)

  • A belief your body is “broken” and needs to be fixed (you’re whole just as you are)

  • A philosophy that attaches morality to food (food isn’t good or bad, right or wrong—it’s just food)

  • An emphasis on weight loss (health comes in many sizes, and we take a weight-neutral approach to healing)

What you WILL find here:

  • Respect for your lived experience and the fact that you’re the best expert when it comes to your own body

  • A nutrition counseling process that acknowledges your full humanity and the reality of your circumstances and meets you exactly where you are

  • A nonjudgmental approach that fosters progress through consent, education, and a supportive client-practitioner partnership

  • Honesty, transparency, and open communication: you’ll understand the “why” behind any suggestions and be able to use that information to make the decision that’s best for you

  • An understanding of health and wholeness that encompasses your physical, emotional, and energetic well-being

  • An approach that prioritizes support for your nervous system, so that you can start to feel more grounded and in touch with your body

  • We primarily work with adults age 20 or above, of any gender. If you’re looking for support for children or teens, please contact us to see if any of our practitioners would be a good fit for their needs.

We don’t work those with an active eating disorder, undergoing cancer treatment, or anyone residing outside of the United States.

Additionally, our services aren’t a good fit for people who are:

    • Looking for a quick fix

    • Expecting a pill or supplement to resolve all their symptoms

    • Resistant to trying new things

    • Interested primarily in losing weight

    • Vegan

That said, we strive to create an inclusive practice and believe a truly holistic vision of health and wellness not only recognizes and cultivates an individual’s capacity for growth and transformation, but also acknowledges the necessity of collective healing and liberation given the various systemic factors that impact our physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.

Some things we commonly help our clients with include:

    • Transitioning to a nutrient-dense, anti-inflammatory diet

    • Guidance around figuring out what foods to eat (or avoid) in order to feel their best

    • Digestive issues like IBS, diarrhea, constipation, bloating, gas, heartburn, and reflux

    • Period problems and pelvic pain conditions, including irregular cycles, PCOS, painful periods, amenorrhea, PMS/PMDD, fibroids, and endometriosis

    • Supporting a smooth transition off hormonal birth control, or into perimenopause/menopause through targeted nutritional support

    • Fertility support prior to conception or in preparation for fertility treatments

    • Using food and lifestyle to address metabolic issues, including blood sugar dysregulation, insulin resistance, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol

    • Nervous system support and overall resilience to stress

We will readily refer prospective or current clients elsewhere if we feel you’d be better served with more specialized care.

  • Unfortunately, not at this time. However, international folks are welcome in Robin’s online group program, Ground Nourish Breathe.

  • In this practice, you’re always in the driver’s seat when it comes to making decisions about your health and your food. Our job is to provide you with information and support. Any dietary recommendations are based on your goals and needs and provided with your consent.

Furthermore, food should taste good, even nutritious food! I fully recognize and honor the fact that for many of us, food is about more than just physical nourishment—it’s also about pleasure, connection, tradition, and culture.

In our clinical experience, sometimes removing foods can be useful and sometimes it can be harmful. It all depends on individual and the context of their unique situation. And while we may at times recommend therapeutic diets to clients if that’s appropriate and they’re open to it, ideally such interventions are only used short-term, with the eventual goal of getting to a point of being able to eat the most diverse and nourishing diet that also works for your body.

  • No, we cannot accept insurance or issue superbills for reimbursement.

Some of our clients use their FSA or HSA funds, but please check with your health plan administrator prior to booking so that you’re clear on any required documentation you’d need in order to get reimbursed via your HSA or FSA account.

  • Yes, of course! You’re not required to make use of the nervous system and bioenergetic support we offer.

Note that regardless of whether or not you choose to take advantage of the unique additional services we provide, you will still need to be actively enrolled in our all-inclusive 1:1 Monthly Membership to receive ongoing support from us.

  • Yes, we offer comprehensive functional lab testing to clients when appropriate.

We often find it can be incredibly valuable when used judiciously. (We’re not fans of any approach to functional medicine or functional nutrition that requires you to spend thousands of dollars up front on testing!).

Testing options include stool testing for GI imbalances and gut microbiome analyzation, food sensitivity testing, micronutrient testing, blood chemistry, hormone tests, and more.

Any recommendations for lab testing are tailored to each client’s needs and budget. The cost for these types of lab tests vary but tend to range from $300 - $400.

  • No. When it comes to food, our goal is to help you reach a place where you feel connected to your body and confident in your ability to nourish yourself. That way you don’t need to rely on things like fad diets, internet advice, complicated meal plans (or even nutritionists for that matter!) to tell you what to eat.

But if meal plans are your jam, don’t worry! There are services and templates online that we can point you to.

    Here’s what we do provide:

    • Education around how to fuel yourself properly

    • Guidance around food sensitivities or food intolerances

    • Support finding nourishing foods that you like and that are easy to access or prepare

    • Help with specific options for meals and snacks

    • Strategies for any challenges that arise when it comes to feeding yourself

    • Ideas for foods emphasize or introduce into your diet

    • Guidance on how to tune into your body’s needs so you can take the guesswork out of what to eat on a day-to-day basis

  • No, that’s not an area of focus in our work. If weight loss is a very important goal to you, our services will not be a good fit.

Our work with clients is focused on improving health, and the fact is that sometimes pursuing weight loss simultaneously can be at odds with a health-focused approach.

Instead, we emphasize creating strong foundations for the long-term health and wellbeing of our clients, and identifying and addressing any root causes directly or indirectly contributing to things like inflammation, metabolic issues, digestive dysfunction, and the like.

  • Most likely, yes, especially if you’re dealing with chronic issues.

We often strongly suggest specific practitioner-grade, high-quality supplements in order to help clients get the best results possible, especially in cases where we’ve identified areas of imbalance or deficiency, or when we’ve utilized functional lab testing.

However, a nutrient-dense, microbiome-supportive diet and lifestyle changes are the real foundation of our work.

Keep in mind that many supplements are meant to be used therapeutically for short periods only, and often it isn’t necessary to take a supplement forever.

  • Generally, no. We ask that all clients work with us on a monthly basis for an initial period, as that’s how we’re able to offer the most comprehensive support and help folks get the best results possible.

After our more in-depth initial work together is complete, clients may schedule check-in appointments on a less frequent or as-needed basis. Check-in appointments are available at our discretion.
